If pancakes are your favorite part of breakfast food, then you don’t want to miss a chance to start your first meal of the day at Smitty’s Pancake House, where they promise to make it your happiest meal of the day! Open every day from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m., they’ve been serving the Wenatchee community their specialty breakfast items since the first, original Smitty’s was built all the way back in 1958. The establishment has changed hands a few times over the years, with now owners Stephen and Carol Freeman having purchased the popular pancake house in 1980.

The building itself has changed a few times as well throughout the decades, with the first Smitty’s burning down in an arson fire in 1987, and its replacement building being burned down yet again within two years of its construction. Despite the changes, Smitty’s continues to be a favorite spot where friends have continued to meet time and time again during its 60-plus years in operation, with the food still just as scrumptious as it was on opening day all those years ago.
